Good Morning Peaches! Wow this has been an exciting week! As you know, we took The Peachy Pepper live earlier this week, but what you may not now, is we are getting even further in the licensing process! The Peachy Pepper is now an LLC. I can’t believe that we have gotten this far! I have submitted my application to become a Cottage Food Kitchen, which is basically the fancy way of saying we will be a home kitchen. While the list may seem limited to some, there are a lot of products I can produce with this licensing, such as, jams and jellies, cookies, candies, breads and even popcorn. I have so many ideas!
This has been such a journey! I can’t believe it’s finally happening. I have been planning a bakery since high school. When I was a senior, I took a money management class (I wasn’t the greatest with the maths) and during the course one of our big projects was creating and building a business. Of course, with my dream of getting a degree in baking and pastry, I built a bakery business plan. It was going to be a bakery that made mini sweet treats. I had it all figured out, with cupcakes, mini tarts and pies and even had a plan to make my own gelato that I would serve in cute little cups with tiny colorful spoons. Yes, kind of silly, but I was 18. Cut me some slack. I was young.
Well, after a couple left turns, and leaving a career I thought I would be involved in for the rest of my life; I am finally getting my bakery. I will still get to offer some mini treats, but for now, the gelato will have to wait. I have many big ideas coming down the pike, but hopefully in a few weeks, I will be able to say I am the owner of my very own bakery. In the coming weeks, I will be sharing more of my ideas, some recipes and maybe even the exciting news of our opening! Stay tuned, and until next time, Stay Peachy!
